The Carbon Laser Facial, often called the Hollywood Peel, is a no-downtime brightening treatment that exfoliates, deep-cleans pores, and reduces surface oil in a single 30 to 45 minute session. A liquid-carbon mask is painted onto the skin and the laser does the rest, leaving an immediate glow. It is one of the few resurfacing-adjacent treatments you can have on a lunch break and return to your day glowing. This is a surface treatment. It brightens, decongests, and controls oil, and it is excellent for event prep and oily, congested skin, but it does not correct deep wrinkles or scarring.
For lasting pore and texture improvement, plan on a short series rather than a single visit.
The treatment, in plain terms
A thin layer of liquid carbon is applied to the skin and allowed to settle into the pores, where it binds to oil, debris, and dead surface cells. The laser then passes over the face in two phases. A first, low-energy pass gently warms the carbon to exfoliate and stimulate circulation. A second, higher-energy pass targets the carbon directly: the light is absorbed by the carbon particles and converts to heat, vaporizing the carbon along with the trapped oil and debris in a controlled micro-exfoliation.
That same energy delivers mild warmth to the deeper skin, which prompts a subtle collagen response over a series. The result is instant brightening, tighter-looking pores, and less surface oil.
