Botox Cosmetic
Physician-dosed Botox in Portland that softens lines and keeps your expressions.
Refreshed, never frozen.

A precise treatment for the lines you make when you move
Botox Cosmetic is an FDA-approved neurotoxin with decades of clinical use. It relaxes the specific muscles that create frown lines, forehead creases, and crow's feet. At Evidence MD it is dosed per unit by a physician and kept conservative, so you look refreshed and still move naturally. The visit is quick, with little to no downtime.
Botox softens the lines that appear when you move: frowning, squinting, raising your brows. Lines that sit there at rest are a different problem, and Botox alone won't erase them.
If that's what's bothering you, we'll say so at your consult and walk you through what actually will.
The mechanism, in plain terms
Botox is a purified form of botulinum toxin type A. Injected into a target muscle, it blocks the signal that tells that muscle to contract. The muscle relaxes, and the skin above it stops folding into a wrinkle each time you make an expression.
The effect is limited to the muscles your physician injects. Over about 3 to 4 months the muscle gradually regains movement and the effect fades, which is why Botox is fully reversible over time and repeated on a schedule.
Where Botox helps
The vertical "11s" between your brows.
Horizontal creases across the forehead.
The fine lines that fan out beside the eyes.
A subtle upward roll of the upper lip.
Masseter dosing to ease clenching and grinding, and slim a heavy lower face over time.
Softening early movement lines before they become etched.
